Interesting!

I'm trying to avoid spoilers, so here goes...

I really like the looping effect! Having - or should I say "getting" - to figure out each place before moving on is satisfying. I also like how the places are connected: it increases the mysterious atmosphere. And having memories and objects transfer from place to place is another touch of intrigue.

The ending I got was perfect. I haven't played through to any other endings yet, but your story's style lends itself to several equally satisfying conclusions, instead of being locked into only one "winning" ending among several "loss" or "failure" outcomes.

Given that this is your first publication on CYS, I'm impressed! (Honestly, I'm impressed regardless.) I look forward to reading more of your stuff!

Very interesting game, and it has the potential to repeat itself, so that ought to deserve an 8. Any how, hope there will be a sequel that live up to this one. The object could be a material that could be used as a time machine once fully charged and obviously it floats around in time once fully charged. ;)

Too little choices. Way too often their were say 3 choices, and the 5 pages where there was only one choice. I died by the way, although I purposely was pretty stupid :D

Interesting concept; most criticism -- basic, pretty linear -- copped to by the author. Interactive time loops are a nice idea. They do get a bit repetitive, however.

The vague ending did not bother me, but a second or third alternate ending besides dying in the desert based upon the hints previously shown -- perhaps revealing more of the nature of the object or confirming the brain tumor as alternate means of death -- would have heightened the replay value by making even fatal choices worth pursuing.

Well-written, but was very linear and didn't leave the reader many options as it would just loop towards the 'correct' option. The ending seemed fairly-rushed and left me with too many answers that needed to be answered, rather than a satisfying sense of closure.

This story had much potential and was very well-written, but the constant looping in the story and the quick fix ending ultimately labelled this story as a waste of time for me.

I don't know what happened but certainly your story interest me, especially about the last part when Jones shut off all the equipments and he fall unconscious. Although I found it exciting at parts, the ending I received was a bit boring and doesnt describe the object or the dream sequences, which was a big let down after all the hype and build up. Interesting. Leaves it off at a bit of a mystery. Makes me wonder if there was a way to get an explanation if you play it differently, but as far as I can tell you can't. The only ending is the 'mysterious' ending.

Awesome! I really enjoy stories like this where strange things happen and you have to figure out what's really going on. I recommend you try an interactive fiction game by the name of dillusions it has a similar theme but a lot more difficult.

That was one weird and at times scary game. The whole loop and the voices, like all of a sudden one of the voices just say's ,"Scapel". Yeesh, that was weird and a talk of a tumor and the ending had me confused beyond belief...in a good way though. I like the story and especially the ending for it's happy yet, weird ending that just brings up a lot of questions. I'm expecting more stories from you soon.

Great story, tsmpaul. Extremely creative and clever in the way it reads through. The small amount of choices didn't really matter as the story was so good, and the limited choices actually made perfect sense in the confines of this particular story. Excellent job! This is one of my favorites.
